October 3, 2023 – November 7, 2023

What Do You Need Right Now? January 17, 2018

You’re invited! The need has never been greater for excellent listening and transformative communication. Get trained with skills for supporting your colleagues, patients, staff, mentees and others. Gain tools to help your own self-awareness toward healing and well-being in these challenging times. This on-line six-week intensive training will equip you with the foundational knowledge and skills used in coaching. It is a highly interactive course that will give you what you need to:

Help patients achieve their health goals
Help colleagues out of burnout
Care for your own well-being
Stop trying to fix others
You will discover what makes coaching so effective and how it is distinct from counseling, mentoring and discipling. You will learn to listen deeply, reflect succinctly and ask powerful questions. Using a “coach approach” will help you increase your impact as you draw out and maximize others’ ability to problem solve and achieve their goals. Course credits: Up to 12 AMA PRA Category 1 CME Credit(s)™ AND 16 International Coach Federation credits toward coaching certification. Coaching practice and demos will happen both inside and outside of class time. Registration is open to all healthcare professionals, students, spouses, and others who work with healthcare professionals. We ask all registrants to be sure they can plan on full attendance at the entire course without distractions, barring emergencies, as each section and skill builds on the previous one.

Comments from prior attendees:

“I appreciated learning new ways to communicate to help patients achieve their goals. Be ready to have a paradigm shift in how you think about how you can help people.”

“There’s no end to the positive benefits I see in this training with family relationships, friends and helping colleagues. I hope to bring this training to a higher level of competency and take on some of the bigger issues, such as physician burnout.”
